Our SurgeryPod solution from Microtech Health saves staff time and encourages patient self-monitoring, with the latest in Telehealth technology.
SurgeryPod is a secure computer system, sited in GP waiting and reception areas, that accurately records patient data and takes health readings before any face-to face appointment.
The user-friendly Telehealth care system aides patients and clinicians to collect data and monitor physical and psychological health via vital signs measurement and validated health questionnaires.
Patients can use SurgeryPod unaided to measure blood pressure, weight, BMI and complete a wide variety of questionnaires. Results are automatically read coded into their health record and any abnormal results are flagged centrally.
The technology offers greater freedom and opportunity to monitor patient health without having to wait on an appointment.
Primarily, this will be used as an extension to the consultation with the GP or Nurse. It will accurately record key data and send it directly into the clinical system and to the health practitioner. This means that when the face-to-face consultation is started, the health practitioner will already have this key information, allowing more time to discuss patient health.
SurgeryPod is designed to give patients more quality face-to-face time with their GP. This equipment is designed to give patients greater control and flexibility over their health as well as allowing the medical staff to utilise their expertise more efficiently.
It is simple to use, saves time during appointments, reduces data entry, convenient for patients and increases collection of data with minimal staff input. The system is designed to be user friendly and is available in multiple languages.
