Educating Through Care Scotland (ETCS) are a network of 30 residential child care and education organisations, working out with Local Authorities, that provide care and education for some of the most vulnerable children and young people in Scotland.
ETCS approached Microtech in March 2020 with the aim to give their dated, unresponsive website a fresh new look. They felt as though their current website didn’t allow them to effectively speak to their target market.
After the initial website kickstart meeting, Microtech Group worked with the brief, timescale and budget given to design and build a modern site that would allow ETCS to increase awareness of the services they provide, and get their support to those who need it most.
The work carried out by Microtech included the complete redesign and development of a new, responsive and mobile friendly website; an Umbraco content management system (CMS); embedded Google search for Find a School locations; and contact forms for a quick and easy get in touch mechanism.
After the development was complete, Microtech also provided CMS training for two key users. This will allow these users to make future changes to the website they require.
